The danger of copper, both for humans and for our environment, is widely recognized and known. Copper automatically produces copper oxide, a strong poison that is also used as a pesticide.

We wanted to create another lubricant and anti-seize that is completely free of copper and other hazardous metals. NASP® Rust Guard Lubricant 56 EP can therefore be used safely where products based on copper or molybdenum disulphide should not be used. Due to its sulphur content, molybdenum disulphide can develop acid and cause corrosion problems.

NASP Rust Guard Lubricant (56EP)

NASP® Rust Guard Lubricant 56 EP is a lubricating assembly paste with anti-seize properties that does not cause pitting on metals or chemical and galvanic corrosion. In fact, it blocks their oxidation (e.g. in the case of carbon steels that rust easily) and converts their own rust into a protective and rust-free film.

You may wonder how this is possible: our base is a synthetic compound that does not contain any oil, whether mineral, natural or synthetic. In this way, we avoid any type of corrosion caused by oleic acid and the acidification of the oils and various soaps (basic or acidic) used to produce the fats obtained from the oils mentioned above.

We use a special product modified by us that not only prevents or slows down the formation of rust, but also triggers a passivation process that converts the ferrous material that causes corrosion into magnetite and makes it rust-free again. In practice, the same corrosion material is used to create a thin and compact film that blocks the oxidation process and the spread of rust by preventing oxygen from penetrating. Ultimately, you could even paint iron artifacts with it and achieve the same effect as an anti-rust paint. However, the difference is that the NASP® Rust Guard Lubricant 56 EP would never polymerize (dry). Imagine the added value for ship hulls, tractors, trucks and all the equipment that works under difficult conditions.
