Our NASP PTFE 50 has a PTFE content of an incredible 50%. Used with great success with metal against metal or with other synthetic and non-synthetic materials, as PTFE has high lubricating properties. Suitable for ship and aircraft construction, precision mechanics, precision mechanical drives with hydrophobizing agents, etc. It does not resinify even after years. NASP PTFE 50 combines the reliability of NASP lubricating greases with the chemical resistance of PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene). They achieve pressure- and water-resistant lubrication that does not oxidize or melt. Salt water resistant. It never hardens or liquefies. Neutral taste, high shear strength, stable, heat-resistant, excellent dielectric silicone paste. Can be used as a lubricant, assembly aid and release agent, insulator, lubricating, damping and heat-conducting medium. Temperature range -50°C and even up to +350°C for short periods, non-conductive, thixotropic, resistant to cold and hot water, water-repellent, oxidation-resistant, non-toxic, dirt-sealing, retains its properties at high and low temperatures and does not age. It is also used as a screw paste to prevent oxidation under critical conditions (e.g. seawater, acidic, highly alkaline environments). The base does not saponify and never melts and remains stable for years after application. It is not recommended for lubrication at high speeds, but is irreplaceable for heavy loads and where high lubricating properties are required, because the PTFE is not extruded and slides stably between the two surfaces it has to lubricate and protect.

Properties

  • Excellent dimensional stability
  • Can be used from -50°C to +250°C
  • Stable after 24 hours at 200°C
  • Largely temperature-independent
  • Excellent dielectric properties
  • Highly water-repellent
  • Non-corrosive to metals (including aluminum)
  • Does not contain any soap. Therefore it never resins, never decomposes and shows no chemical decay
  • Odorless and tasteless
  • Also for rubber sleeves and sealing rings, as it does not contaminate brake circuit oils
  • Prevents oxidation in critical conditions (e.g. salt water, acidic or strongly alkaline environments)
  • Dielectric
  • Neutral taste, solvent-free, no hazardous vapors, non-toxic
